Are you an Occupational Therapist with Paediatric experience?

We are urgently seeking an Occupational Therapist with Paediatric experience to fill a lucrative long term role in the Channel Islands.

The role offers leading pay and excellent working conditions. Successful applicants will be expected to:

 

Manage and co-ordinate a professional and effective Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service for children with complex and complicated care needs.

Lead the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team within the service offering assessment, treatment and review as part of a holistic team, providing high standards of care.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary / multi-agency team sharing information and working together to meet the needs of children and young people and their families.

Be responsible for devising individual therapeutic intervention plans in association with the child’s parents / carers and multi-agency / multi-disciplinary team. The post-holder should ensure that aims and objectives of the plan are carried out effectively and should monitor outcome, adapting the plan accordingly.

Direct and supervise the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team, students and volunteers.

Prioritise and manage the Paediatric Occupational Therapy caseload.

 

Essential skills and achievements:

 

Occupational Therapy Degree or equivalent.

HCPC registration.

Evidence of relevant post registration training and qualifications.

2 years experience of working with children and young people with complex special needs and their families.

Experience of working in a MDT.

Knowledge of principles and practice for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients, other team members and internal and external departments and agencies, and work as an effective collaborative flexible team member.

Ability to analyse highly complex assessment findings in order to formulate care plans and set goals for individuals.

Manage own time and workload effectively, prioritising and delegating as appropriate.
