The staff at Milton Keynes recruitment agency National Locums are nursing sore feet this week, but are also sky high with enthusiasm and confidence, after conquering Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain.

The 25-strong team tackled the 4,409ft peak on Saturday (7th June) in a sponsored climb in aid of Leo’s Appeal, the fundraising drive to enhance children’s services at Milton Keynes Hospital.

Says National Locums director Glenn Cook: “We’re all feeling the effects this week, but it was so worthwhile. Some of us thought that scaling Ben Nevis would be easy – but, make no mistake, it’s definitely a mountain, and definitely one heck of a climb!”

One heck of a boost for Leo’s Appeal too – with almost all of their sponsorship money collected, National Locums are set to present the charity with a £6,250 donation.

The Ben Nevis climb was the cornerstone of the company’s year-long programme of fundraising activity in aid of Leo’s Appeal, and every member of staff volunteered to take part.

National Locums is one of Britain’s fastest-growing recruitment agencies, supplying locum doctors to NHS and independent hospitals throughout the UK.
