Milton Keynes medical recruitment executive Simon Hill has won a top national award for inspiring his work colleagues and helping his company to achieve national status.
Simon, who lives at Newton Leys, is sales director of Milton Keynes-based medical recruitment specialists National Locums, and won the Most Inspiring Senior Manager/Director category at The Recruiter magazine’s annual Investing in Talent Awards.
He received his award in front of a packed audience at London’s prestigious Chiswell Street Brewery. The judges’ citation said they “were amazed with his exceptional levels of client service at all times, as well as his incredible leadership style.
“The judges were particularly impressed with his dealings with new and junior members of the staff who may be struggling, and the way Simon turned them into top-class recruiters through his inspiration, drive and determination.
“Without ego, and coming across as humble and engaging, his mantra could even be ‘Accentuate the Positive, Eliminate the Negative'”.
Simon, 35, joined National Locums eight years ago, initially as a senior consultant, and then won promotion to business manager. In 2015, he was appointed sales director, in recognition of his key role in driving National sales and marketing performance, and helping the company achieve national status in providing locum doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals to the NHS and independent hospitals nationwide.
Says National Locums managing director David Cook: “Simon thoroughly deserves this award for the way he has supported and encouraged his colleagues, and his overall contribution to the success of our business”.
Simon’s award is the latest recognition of National Locums’ excellence as one of the fastest-growing recruitment agencies in the UK. It has won recognition in a shoal of awards schemes, including being named 2016 Milton Keynes Business of the Year and Midlands Family Business of the Year.
