National Locums, the fast-growing Milton Keynes-based medical recruiter, is now able to supply locum doctors to every NHS hospital in the United Kingdom, after National Health Services Scotland became the latest region to award them Framework (preferred supplier) status.

The new agreement means that National Locums is authorised to provide locums to all 14 of Scotland’s territorial health boards, covering hospitals ranging from the big cities to the Highlands and  islands.

It comes only weeks after the company secured the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Framework for the supply of nurses, covering all seven Welsh health boards.

Says National Locums managing director David Cook: “We are delighted with this latest win, which is testimony to the quality and speed of our service, and the trust we have built up with hospitals across the UK.”

The company, which only launched in 2009, was recently named as one of the 50 fastest-growing recruitment businesses in Britain, and is the current Midlands Family Business of the Year, and holder of the Milton Keynes Business Excellence award.
