Two team members at National Locums, the Milton Keynes-based medical recruitment consultancy, have been shortlisted for prestigious national awards.

Emma Kent, 26, the company’s senior recruitment consultant, has been shortlisted in the Consultant of the Year category in the prestigious 2014 REC/IRP Awards, run by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation and the Institute of Recruitment Professionals.

Emma is the agency’s most senior consultant, responsible for providing locum surgeons to NHS and independent hospitals across Britain.

Ryan Don, 19, who only joined National Locums last year, has been shortlisted in the Best Newcomer of the Year category. Ryan supplies anaesthetists to UK hospitals – and was first to the top of Ben Nevis in the company’s recent charity climb to raise funds for Milton Keynes hospital.

Says National Locums managing director David Cook: “We are very proud of this independent validation of Emma and Ryan’s terrific contribution to our company’s success, and their ever-improving skills in supplying much-needed senior practitioners to the NHS and independent hospitals.”
