Clinical Lead Agency Nurse Band 8a Required For Channel Islands

Channel Islands are looking for a Band 8a Clinical Lead Agency nurse.

The contract is initially from August through till December and full travel is paid getting you to the Island and also back when required.

JOB SUMMARY

• Providing senior professional nurse leadership, the post holder is accountable for the patient experience and the delivery of high quality services, ensuring efficient and effective management of all resources in order to deliver safe and effective patient care in an environment of continuous improvement.
• The post holder is responsible for ensuring the achievement of operational and strategic objectives within their area of responsibility, with particular emphasis on the quality of care, the patient experience, infection control, the care environment, patient nutrition, patient and public involvement, clinical service improvement and health education and promotion.
• The post holder will work with Lead Nurse, Acute inpatient wards to promote HSC’s CARE values and beliefs.
• Responsible for supporting the Operational Alliance quality framework across the service areas whilst empowering staff to have ownership of the framework.
• The post holder is expected to assess and deliver direct patient care for 50% of their role in order to maintain professional competence, authority and credibility .
• The post holder will ensure the operational delivery of the long term Elderly Care beds, Acute Medical Beds and the Treatment Room.
