About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team in a unique offshore island location for a fixed-term contract from 3rd June 2024 to 27th December 2024. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized psychiatric care in a picturesque and tranquil environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions in children and adolescents.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for young patients.
- Conduct outpatient clinics, consultations, and follow-up appointments.
- Participate in teaching and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Specialist accreditation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Proven experience as a Consultant in Psychiatry, particularly with children and adolescents.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
