About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team in a unique offshore island location for a fixed-term contract from 3rd June 2024 to 27th December 2024. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized psychiatric care in a picturesque and tranquil environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions in children and adolescents.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for young patients.
• Conduct outpatient clinics, consultations, and follow-up appointments.
• Participate in teaching and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines and standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Requirements:

• Medical degree and full GMC registration.
• Specialist accreditation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Proven experience as a Consultant in Psychiatry, particularly with children and adolescents.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
