About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SHO in Paediatrics A&E to join our team in Northern Ireland. This is a full-time, fixed-term position starting immediately and running until 11th August 2024, with the potential for extension. The role involves working a full shift rota, providing comprehensive emergency care to paediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality medical care to paediatric patients in the A&E department.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments of a wide range of paediatric emergencies.
- Work closely with senior clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Participate in handovers, ward rounds, and team meetings.
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Completion of Foundation Training (F1/F2) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in paediatrics or emergency medicine is desirable.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
