We are currently seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker with a minimum of one year’s post-qualifying experience to join our Children in Need Team in the Channel Islands.

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children in Need Team, delivering high-quality, relationship-based practice to children and families across the Bailiwick.
The Role
As a Social Worker within the Children in Need Team, you will:

Hold a caseload of Children in Need and Care Requirement cases

Undertake timely child and family assessments

Develop, implement and review Child’s Plans using evidence-based interventions

Act as Lead Professional within the Team Around the Child model

Work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals

Prepare reports and represent the service at meetings, panels, Court and Tribunal
-
Respond to child protection concerns and implement robust protection plans
-
Participate in duty and Emergency Duty Service rotas

Engage in regular supervision and continuous professional development
You will play a key role in ensuring children remain central to all planning and decision-making.
About You
You will have:

A recognised Social Work qualification (DipSW, Degree, CQSW or equivalent)

Registration with Social Work England

At least one year post-qualifying experience in children’s social care

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislation

Experience completing evidence-based assessments and joint investigations
-
The ability to work effectively within multi-agency settings
-
A clean, current driving licence
