We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Specialty Doctor to join the West Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) on a 3-month placement
This opportunity has arisen due to ongoing difficulty in securing a suitable consultant, and we are looking to appoint a capable clinician to support the service during this period.
Key Details
- Location: North West England
- Duration: 3 months (ongoing placement)
- Approvals: Section 12 and AC approval not required
- Travel: Community-based role requiring home visits – candidate must have own transport and ability to travel
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Specialty Doctor
- At least 6 months recent experience in Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Confident working independently in a community LD setting
- Experience managing complex cases in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to conduct patient assessments in community and home settings
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical input, supporting adults with learning disabilities across the community. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
