National Locums are working on behalf on of an NHS trust based in South Yorkshire looking for a locum Audiologist.
The ENT department based in a trust in South Yorkshire are looking for a locum Band 5 Audiologist to start as soon as possible until the end of the year.
This is a full-time requirement covering 4 days a week from 07:45 – 17:45. Core duties will include:
- Provide diagnostic support to the ENT Consultants by performing a wide range of routine and non-routine hearing/balance tests to school age children/adults /elderly patients. Interpreting results and report writing as required.
- Assess the needs of patients with hearing, vestibular, tinnitus and clarity problems, and to provide appropriate treatment, counselling, advice and instrumentation as required. To provide follow-up support to check on progress and to alter the care plan where needed.
- Provide information, counselling and support for hearing impaired patients and their family/carer’s on a wide range of hearing related issues and to refer on to other professionals when needed.
- Offer a high standard of training placement for BSc Audiology students from the Leeds and Nottingham BSc courses and to comply with the University’s regulations with regards to Clinical Supervision.
- Perform routine and non-routine diagnostic hearing tests on children and adults referred either from ENT or directly by the GP.
- Provide digitally programmed hearing aids for adult patients and carry out routine hearing aid repairs.
You must hold full the following in order to be considered:
- HCPC or AHCS license to practise.
- Full right to work.
- Relevant qualifications
- At least 12 months NHS experience in Audiology.
