Consultant General Medicine Required – North

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care to medical inpatients and support acute medical admissions

• Take a leadership role in the assessment and management of complex cases

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective and patient-centred care

• Participate in the development and improvement of medical services within the Trust

• Contribute to teaching and training of junior doctors and medical students

• Participate in the on-call rota as required

Essential Criteria:

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

• Entry on the Specialist Register in General/Internal Medicine (or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at time of interview)

• Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Interest or subspecialty expertise in areas such as Respiratory, Cardiology, Geriatric, or Acute Medicine

• Experience in service development and quality improvement
