Consultant Psychiatrist

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and direct psychiatric care within the team

• Deliver diagnostic assessments and formulate comprehensive treatment plans

• Engage in regular case reviews and multidisciplinary meetings

• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

• Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees

• Participate in the Consultant on-call rota as required

Essential Criteria:

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

• Inclusion on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry (CCT or within 6 months of interview)

• Broad experience in the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders

• Strong teamworking, leadership, and communication skills

• Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Experience in teaching, research, or service innovation

• Subspecialty interest (e.g., Rehabilitation, Liaison, Addictions, Forensic, or Neuropsychiatry)
