About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in General Medicine to join our healthcare team in Scotland. This is a fixed-term contract position starting immediately and running until 3rd September 2024. The role involves working a regular Monday to Friday schedule from 09:00 to 17:00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients in the general medicine department.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and team meetings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Contribute to clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Specialist training and experience in General Medicine.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
