Job Description:
We are recruiting for a skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join an Inpatient Mental Health Unit. This full-time locum position offers an immediate start for an initial 6-month contract, providing vital care and clinical leadership in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the assessment, treatment, and management of adult inpatients with complex mental health needs

• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centred care

• Lead ward rounds, contribute to care planning meetings, and provide guidance to junior medical staff

• Ensure high standards of documentation, risk management, and compliance with legal frameworks

• Engage in quality improvement and service development initiatives

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practise

• Proven experience in inpatient mental health care

• Excellent leadership, clinical, and communication skills
