Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a fast-paced Acute Mental Health Service. This full-time locum role offers an immediate start and runs for an initial period of six months, providing expert care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients in acute mental health crisis
Provide leadership and clinical direction within a multidisciplinary team
Participate in ward rounds, care planning, and discharge processes
Support junior doctors and other healthcare professionals in their roles
Ensure timely documentation and adherence to best clinical practices and legal requirements
Requirements:
Full GMC registration with a license to practise
Previous experience in acute or crisis mental health services
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
