Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in General Adult Psychiatry to join a busy inpatient unit. This full-time locum role is available for an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 6 months, offering a rewarding and stable placement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert psychiatric care for adult inpatients with a range of mental health conditions
Lead clinical decision-making within a multidisciplinary team
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage risk effectively
Participate in ward rounds, MDT meetings, and discharge planning
Support junior medical staff and contribute to clinical governance
Requirements:
Full GMC registration with a license to practise
Experience working in inpatient adult mental health settings
Strong clinical leadership and teamworking skills
