Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established Community Mental Health Team specialising in General Adult Psychiatry. This full-time locum post offers an immediate start and a 6-month contract, providing vital care in a supportive, community-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adults in the community with a variety of mental health conditions
Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and manage treatment pathways
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, social workers, and psychologists
Participate in case reviews, risk assessments, and MDT discussions
Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with relevant legislation
Requirements:
Full GMC registration with a license to practise
Experience working in community mental health settings
Strong interpersonal, organisational, and clinical decision-making skills
