Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
An excellent opportunity is available for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a high-dependency Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This full-time locum position is ideal for an experienced clinician looking for a dynamic and rewarding environment, with an immediate start and a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on the management and treatment of acutely unwell psychiatric patients in a PICU setting

• Provide comprehensive assessments, risk management plans, and crisis interventions

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, and support staff

• Contribute to clinical governance and ongoing service improvement

• Ensure the highest standards of care and patient safety

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practise

• Extensive experience in acute inpatient or PICU settings

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills
