We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS to join a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide senior medical leadership within the CAMHS team
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans
Manage a caseload of children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff and the wider MDT
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and safeguarding processes
Liaise with external agencies including schools, social services, and community organisations
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry would be desirable
Significant experience working within CAMHS settings
Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Section 22 approval and Approved Clinician status
