Locum ST3–ST5 Paediatrics & Neonatal Doctor – 6 Month Contract

A hospital in Gloucestershire is seeking a motivated and experienced Locum ST3–ST5 Paediatrics & Neonatal Doctor to join the department on a 6-month fixed-term locum contract running until 2nd September.
The successful candidate will participate in the Tier 2 Paediatric and Neonatal rota, supporting both paediatric and neonatal services within a busy acute hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in the Tier 2 Paediatric and Neonatal rota

Provide clinical care for paediatric and neonatal patients across the hospital

Work a full shift rota, including:
-
Long days
-
Night shifts
-
Weekend cover
-
Support junior staff and work closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team

Ensure safe, high-quality care in accordance with NHS standards and departmental guidelines
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
-
ST3–ST5 level experience in Paediatrics (or equivalent)

MRCPCH examinations fully passed
-
Level 3 Paediatric Safeguarding training
-
Neonatal Life Support (NLS) – in date
-
Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) – in date
-
Previous experience working at Tier 2 level within paediatrics/neonatology

Eligibility to work in the UK and GMC registration with licence to practise

Rota: Tier 2 Paediatric and Neonatal rota including long days, nights and weekends

Accommodation: On-site accommodation may be available depending on availability
