The Opportunity
George Eliot Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join our dedicated Women & Children’s Division. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive district general hospital committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
We welcome applications from consultants with broad general obstetric and gynaecology experience, with opportunities to support specialist interests where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consultant-led care across obstetrics and gynaecology services

Participate in antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics
-
Contribute to elective and emergency theatre lists
-
Support labour ward cover and obstetric on-call rota
-
Provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff and contribute to MDT working
-
Ensure high standards of clinical governance and patient safety
Essential Requirements

Full GMC registration with licence to practise

Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Obstetrics & Gynaecology (or within 6 months of CCT)

Recent NHS consultant or senior-level experience

Excellent communication and team-working skills
